I had a pretty good stay at Bermondsey Square Hotel. The location was spot on, with easy access to the Shard and Tower Bridge. The staff were super friendly and helped with my requests, but I was a bit disappointed there wasn't a bar on-site. The breakfast options were diverse but definitely leaned towards the lower quality side with chicken sausage and turkey rashers, which wasn't ideal for me. Overall, I’d say it was a solid experience, just a few quirks to consider.

Breakfast had quality ingredients and was generally good, but I was let down by the coffee. It could use a major upgrade.

I had a mixed experience at the Bermondsey Square Hotel. While the views from our room's hot tub were absolutely very nice and the staff were friendly and helpful, there were several letdowns that affected my stay. The cold tap in the bathroom often didn’t work, making showering difficult, and some items claimed on the menu, like poppadoms, were misrepresented. Overall, while there were highlights, the issues with the amenities and breakfast options left me feeling somewhat disappointed. 😟✨

The hotel's location in Bermondsey was great, with plenty of nearby restaurants and local charm, although it was about a 20-minute walk from the nearest tube station.
Dining

Breakfast was okay with a decent selection, but I was disappointed that it was only continental with no cooked options like bacon or sausages.

The hot tub added a nice touch to the experience, but other facilities like the bathroom taps and some décor could use improvement.

I had a lovely stay at the Bermondsey Square Hotel. The location was fantastic, just a short walk to attractions like Tower Bridge. The room was clean and comfortable, though I noticed some areas could use a bit of upkeep, like dusty furniture. Overall, the staff was very welcoming and the breakfast had a great variety.

Rooms

The room was spacious and featured a comfortable bed, though I did notice some cleanliness issues like crumbs on the floor and dusty furniture. It also lacked drawers, making it a bit inconvenient to store my belongings.

The staff was exceptionally friendly, especially at the front desk, where they were eager to assist. They handled my requests well, but there were moments when some seemed a bit overwhelmed.

The hotel's location was perfect for exploring London. It was close to bus stops and within walking distance of the Underground, allowing easy access to various attractions. Plus, the charming square had fun eateries and shops.

I enjoyed the breakfast, which offered a range of choices. The highlights were the avocado on toast and homemade soup. However, I felt there could be a bit more variety and quality in the offerings.

Facilities included a small fridge in the room and decent communal spaces. I found these amenities helpful, but I did wish the hotel had more robust offerings overall.

My stay at Bermondsey Square Hotel was quite enjoyable, with comfortable beds and a great location near the vibrant Bermondsey Beer Mile. However, the hotel does show signs of wear and tear, which detracted slightly from the overall experience.

Rooms

I found the room to be well-furnished and relatively comfortable, though it had a few cracks and scratches that hinted at its age. The AC worked perfectly and the complimentary fridge was a nice touch.
Service

While the hotel offered essential amenities and a nice communal area, there were issues like one elevator often being out of service. The pet-friendly features were great, especially with the thoughtful treats for my dog.

I had a pleasant stay at the Bermondsey Square Hotel, with the rooms being spacious and clean, which is always a plus (especially for a boutique hotel!). The breakfast options were decent, though I found the service a tad slow. The location was fantastic for exploring nearby attractions like Tower Bridge and Borough Market, but I did notice some minor issues like the lack of wash cloths in the bathroom. Overall, it's a good choice if you want to be in a vibrant area of London.

Rooms
7.0
The room I stayed in was spacious by European standards and very clean, although the pull-out sofa was somewhat uncomfortable. I appreciate the large towels and amenities provided (though I wish there had been wash cloths!).
Service
8.0
The staff was consistently friendly and helpful, accommodating my early check-in and luggage storage requests. They created a welcoming atmosphere, which I really enjoyed during my stay.
Location
7.0
I loved the hotel's location; it was a short walk to major attractions and surrounded by lovely shops and restaurants on Bermondsey Street. However, I found the absence of nearby underground stations a bit limiting for easy transport.
Dining
6.0
The breakfast featured a nice buffet and menu items, but I learned to be patient for service (the coffee was worth the wait!). I think a wider selection of traditional English breakfast items would have been a bonus.
Facilities
6.0
The hotel provided good amenities, but I did find the complimentary items a bit lacking—only one bottle of water and a single packet of biscuits were provided for two guests. More options would enhance the experience.
